Happy Birthday to me!!!!!!!!

Yeah! after getting so many Birthday wishes, I still feel like wishing myself....well Strange na!!!

I was just wondering why do we celebrate our Birthdays when we are sure that one more year from our life is gone...and we are approaching towards our destinies which is absolutely same for everybody i.e. "Death".

Well most of the amazing facts on earth are absolutely same for everybody be it President of America or Peon in our office.Well I guess I am deviating from main agenda of my Blog....Why do we celebrate birthday???

The first and foremost reason is that we have lived one more year on this splendid earth.We got one more year to fulfill our dreams or do whatever pleased to us.Perhaps we live and plan in such a way that we shall live forever..................Trust, this is what everyone of us do.

It is the time when everybody is so good to us.No one complains at home or in office. Everybody tends to ignore small mistake at least for a day.Can't we become "thoda sa aur tolerant" towards day to day affairs in office and at home( This sounds more relevant to me than anybody else).

It is also a time to retrospect so as to what we did  and what we need to do and where we stand.

We get lots of gifts from our near and dears.By the way, I do not believe in surprises, therefore, I prepare a list of items which I require as gift and tell my friends and family to buy those for me.So, it's a well planned move to replenish my Makeup kit and Wardrobe.Trust, instead of getting gift which at time are not that useful (Anyways a gift is a gift and previous to me), asking what you need or you wish to buy, but could not buy because of XYZ reasons, is a wise idea.

Most of us love attention(well, this is scientifically proved). So, you cannot deny this fact and say that this sounds so childish. Are we Kids?Let the Child inside you come on surface at least on your Birthday.And then, you will not feel awkward in asking for gift from your near and dears and will truely enjoy all attention which you get on this day and the entire day for that matter.

I am looking forward to evening party which has been organised "JUST FOR ME"

Big Fat Indian wedding!!!

Shall we proud of it???

Does it really gives momentum to our economy? or it is just a shameless display of opulence by few rich people who seldom care for anybody.

Is it justified where half of the population does not get two meals a day? I was reading an article on yahoo which was giving the details of costliest shaadis in India.The  top most name was of Sahara Group Head spending whopping 500 cr on his son's marriage.It is such an irony that he does not have money to pay to poor people who were investing in his Company for their rainy days.

The other name was of Amitabh bachchan's Daughter's marriage......spending crores of money just for a marriage.People adore him look up to him especially for values and this is the message which he is passing on to society that spending huge money on daughter's marriage is OK in fact very important...it is how a father should do..... if one can afford or arrange  money(through loans etc) if one cannot afford after all it is Daughter's marriage....TYPICAL ORTHODOX  THOUGHT............. which is certainly not Indian!!!

Just happened to visit a middle class wedding (I also belong to this class) wherein the bride's father spent 15 lacs on marriage out of his voluntary retirement corpus of 40 lacs. He is just 55 years old.God only knows how  will he manage when inflation is so high and he's got one son who is studying in college. Since, he was working for a private firm, he did not have any pension scheme. So, he spent about 40% of his retirement corpus on marriage.The reason being social pressures...which is at times unavoidable......And our so called leaders, businessmen are altogether following this custom instead of other way round.They have luxuriousness of avoiding social pressures and creating new customs (rather old one..Indian one...simple living) which may be followed by millions.

SO LET ALL NOT TAKE PRIDE IN THESE KINDS OF BIG FAT INDIAN WEDDING AND DISCOURAGE THIS WHEREVER WE GO.

There one more couplet.....it goes like this.............Tum nahi, gum nahi, sharab nahi....aisi tanhiye ka jawab nahi........







All these songs/couplets  points  towards realizing about one's higher self or may be well beyond the stage of self actualization  of Abraham Harold Maslow's pyramid .It is a stage wherein neither sorrow nor joy can perturb a person's state of mind/soul which have found ultimate peace........................................

Do we really yearn or want  to reach at that stage in life.I guess most of our lives is spent in making the end meets,rearing our children etc etc...... or may be we are accustomed to live like that, after all we have seen world around us living like that only................

But, if this stage is ultimate niche of life...how come one will live gorgeous life ....and then where does "Lavishness" find its place?????

I read somewhere that in race of accumulating wealth there comes a point above which increase in wealth does not increase happiness in same proportion. In fact, the happiness graph becomes flat...........

I have also read in interviews of great Entrepreneurs who have earned huge money that after a point earning money does not give them any "kick"......They get excited when they innovate or create thing which are beneficial to larger section of society."GIVING" MAKE THEM MORE HAPPY  AND MONEY BECOMES MERELY A BY PRODUCT......

Well. I guess this is "THE" point where Life becomes gorgeous and one lives a LAVISH LIFE.

Yearning for the same!!!
